OUR SERVICES

We Offer a Range of
Services to Meet Your Needs

PENETRATION SEALING

Fire barriers, or ‘Fire Batt’ as they may be known are used to provide fire and acoustic barriers for voids created by the passage of services in both dry wall systems and masonry walls and floors.

Types of penetrating services may include steel and copper pipes, PVC/HDPE/ABS cables often supported on ladders or trays or mechanical ducts. Most fire barriers are tested to provide the capability of up to 2 hours fire resistance and the same in heat insulation.

INTUMESCENT SEALANT

Most commonly found in acrylic, silicone and graphite form, these sealants provide an intumescent seal by adhering to most types of surface which form a non-hardening flexible seal. Intumescent sealants can be used to provide fire resistance to walls, floors, fire rated doors frames & glazing systems.

Linear gaps can be sealed in masonry walls to ensure that the passage of smoke, toxic gases and fire is suppressed for up to 2 hours.

PIPE COLLARS & WRAPS

Pipe collars are manufactured from a high performance material bonded to the inside of a steel sleeve, which on exposure to heat from a fire will rapidly expand inwards to squeeze the collapsing plastic pipe until the aperture is completely sealed.

CAVITY BARRIERS

Cavity Barriers are pieces of fire stopping material. They are fitted within the cavity of a building at each floor horizontally and party wall in a vertical position. The material provides compartmentation. This means that both the flames and heat cannot be transferred to other compartmental areas.

Throughout the life of the building, the Cavity Barrier will remain fixed in place. In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands and seals off the gaps. Additionally, the horizontal barriers allow for a ventilation gap within the cavity. This will be closed when the intumescent expands.

SPECIAL PROJECTS SURVEYS & CONSULTATION

The advantage of doing a survey is to inform the client of any failings in fire stopping and subsequently, depending on the severity of defects whether the premises is considered safe for occupation. It will provide details of the breach, provide remedial solutions and a schedule of works required.

Our non-intrusive surveys use state of the art drone technology to access high levels and complete aerial inspections.
